Yosemite Memorial Day 09

I made many visits to Yosemite over the years. I noticed that more and more people showed up at the park each year. There was never a time in the past for me, however, that was quite like this Memorial day weekend. The line to get in, must have been a couple of miles long. And once you made it in to the valley, good luck finding parking...or just driving around. Our plans was to head over to Glacier Point for sunset. The traffic put a stop to that plan real fast. We just settled for looking at traffic as they passed Halfdome instead. Any plans of heading to Camp Curry for dinner was also dashed. Lucky for us we have a few cooks with us. You can be sure of one thing, when you go camping with MA's family...you'll gain weight. For dinner, we had garlic fried rice, scramble eggs, stir fry corn beef, chili, and spicy turkey patties. Soooo gooood after a long hike. Beat sitting in traffic any time. Ahh...the solitude of being in the wilderness.
