The Bianchi Project

Cycling season starts early this year with the new daylight saving time. That means I need to get my butt in shape. The last few months I've been EATting and putting back the weight I dropped before the big day. I wanted a little boost to get myself back into cycling again. I figured a bicycle project would get me psyked up. Pon was gonna send this old 14 speed Bianchi (1990) to Goodwill. It was actually his brother's, but I think Pon wanted to get even for something that happened in their childhood.

This Bianchi has 105s components, anadized Mavic rims, and down tube shifters! It's probably a steel frame, since it feels like it weights 30 lbs. Might be a high end back in the days. I think I seen it used maybe 3-4 times, and it's probably been more than 10 years since anyone had ridden it. Pretty close to retro...at least that's what I want to belive. Some cleaning, new tubes and tires, cables adjustment, a new seat, and handle bar tape would put this puppy back into ridding condition. But it would be way cooler to turn this into a fixgear, and then take it on one of those Critical Mass ride! Yeah...
