Eat Ice Cream Sandwich

We were invited by our friend, Garmen, to drop by Inner City Arts today for their art auction preview event. This is the event that's held before their more formal annual art auction gala - for the benefit of LA's inner city kids. As a special treat for everyone at the preview event, they served what was probably the best ice cream cookie sandwich I ever had. Served from the Cool Haus ice cream truck - a converted postal truck with a pink camper and low profile tires.

The ice cream sandwich we had was named in honor of the architect who designed the remodel of the Inner City Arts campus - Michael Mocha Malted-zan. I think the ice cream was chocolate mocha, sandwiched between a chocolate chip and a chocolate chocolate chip cookie. It was about three inches thick! And even the wrapper was edible! I'vd had many ice cream sandwiches in my day. There were a few good ones, but this one was the best. Can't wait to try their other sandwiches.
